Well, the title of this post isn't exactly a reflection of what this is about, but you all know you need something catchy on the titles :)

I'm going to guess that most of you have heard about 3D printing, in fact, it has become quite popular since a couple of months ago they made 3D printers accessible to the consumer for building your own toys or even printing your own chocolate

On this matter, there is a new vision about the future of pharmaceutical drugs and it is to use 3D printers for doing your prescription medicines. This would open up the possibilities for small pharmaceutical places to print out their own prescription drugs and make the access to medicine cheaper. This also would enable the final customer to print their own prescription drugs with a combination of chemical products, so it can do it without leaving the house, and we might even get our own personalized design.

We still might have to wait 20 years, but that's an interesting project. The fact that medicine will become more accessible might help to finally eliminate so much child mortality in places of the world where people are still dying for cholera, or similar stuffs which are so easy to prevent or heal.

It might also be a way of finally getting on the people hands the cure of many sickness like Cancer or HIV just playing with the components of drugs and then printing out the results.

3D printers usually work with a gel which prints the shapes on layers, so they become usable. I believe that the fact this experimentation might take the way we perceive medicine to the next level is very accurate, and someday we will be able of free ourselves of the pharmaceutical slavers and get our way to freedom.

Sadly, the next step would be to be slave of the technology companies, but we can always learn how to program, therefore, write our own code to make things our way. The tools are out there we just must start using them :)

Thanks for reading the Metal Grunge
