Google Glasses

After the self-driving car, Google is promoting the Google Glasses which is another way of making us lazy. Isn't that awesome? :)

In any case, this is one of those times where Google looks like changing everything as Apple usually says when they take something new to the market which happens to be popular, but not necessarily new. Most of the time, it's just tangible idea which was there before, like the iPad which is just a tablet that Microsoft promoted some years ago, but it was unsuccessful.

Google Glasses, is like the augmented reality of the Android system. It promises to say the weather, pop up emails, and let you write some of your own, as well as browsing the web among others. This has been a secret in everybody's mouth, but it finally is official, and now it just a matter of waiting until they go to the consumer market. The simple fact of thinking about should be exciting, but it's more like an interesting step forward on consumer electronics.

I think this glasses will succeed when Apple brings out its own version, or even before that when they start suing each other (Microsoft included) about the patents that both hold about this kind of gadget, but neither of them have taken them to the public yet.

Sometimes, I believe they just like to wait until somebody makes the successful attempt, so they can improve it and get extra money with some lawsuits, in any case, this might not be the case even if Google is on the loosing side when this issue become a legal problem.

Well, The Washington Post made this slideshow preview of the glasses, so you can appreciate them more closely.

I think they're gonna very famous, and the Chinese copies which are probably coming right behind it won't be able to hold the standard high enough for driving the market away from them, but at least they will give a little almost nothing taste of what it is the real deal. That little processor on the corner, which will be able of taking pictures as well just need to be a little more stylized, so it becomes the next boom on the technology world.

At some point on this year, when we finally get the real product which more likely will be pricey ($200-$600) it's going to be very exciting to see the world and share instantly with those Google glasses.

Thanks for reading. :)
